First, I want to say that this retractable ID holder / badge clip works really well. It clips onto anything, and that means my thick leather belt, which is what I really needed. It also swivels in the direction when you pull on your ID. I love the fact that it is swivel because the one that company provided was not, and when I would sit down it would catch and dig into my thigh. A small negligible issue in most cases, but it can be tedious on the daily.I really like the fact that this model is clip on in the back, so you squeeze the clip to open, position and then let go of the clip. This seriously prevents ruining my belt. Company provided one was compression hold and it would dig into the leather going on and off, and it looked tacky.The tennis ball seems to be glued on or something, I'm exactly sure, but it is rubberized and feels good.I would say at this price and build quality it should last about 3 years, and I think that is good. I feel I should have ordered a few more, but hey...Here's an idea.... With buildings more and more secure and certain access points having serious restrictions, it would be nice to personalize this retractable ID / badge holder. It would be cool to see like DC, Marvel, and video game licensed fronts on these things. It's like a personal touch in a tough environment, but even the subtlest thing can brighten people's day.

Looks great but does not recoil once pulled. Could be a defective product.

So adorable! I got this for my daughter who is graduating high school soon. She will have a keycard in college and I told her a retractable bad clip is much needed in those situations. This is perfect since she loves tennis and its sturdy for the wear and tear I think it will go through. Very Cute!

This is a great looking badge clip for anyone who loves tennis (nurses or not). Each element also works great: the button, the retractable cord, and the badge clip itself. The tennis ball seems to be a separate piece that was perhaps glued on to the badge clip. It's secure in the middle of the ball/clip, but the edges of the ball can be lifted. I'm concerned that over time it will catch on things and ultimately deteriorate or fall apart faster than it might if it was secured to the edges. Overall, I'm happy with it and hope it will last longer than I expect.

This looks just like the photo, seems like really good quality and is a good badge holder for tennis lovers. The only constructive thing I have to say about it is that I don't love the clip that holds it on your belt. It sticks out a bit further than my old badge clip that just slides over my belt or belt loop.If the actual spring loaded clip doesn't bother you, then it's a great badge holder for the tennis lover in your life.
