After some confusing and time consuming searches, and ordering then returning one supposedly compatible cradle bracket to replace a broken one in my discontinued Garmin GPS model 765t. Several of these receiver brackets (which hold the ball end of the windshield suction mount unit) exist on Amazon, but none of the listings mentioned they were compatible with my gps model. Luckily the listing’s photos showed a tiny heat stamped number that matched mine: 145 01615-10. As a bonus these cradle brackets came in a 2 pack. Since the part requires a stiff compression fit into the gps unit as well as with the ball mount the plastic becomes brittle in time and easily broken, so a spare is beyond useful. Despite not listing them as compatible with my gps, I gave these a try! They arrived today. SUCCESS! Besides some needed strong pressure to get the cradle to seat into the back of my GPS the fit firmly in place. The windshield suction cup holder’s ball joint also needed firm pressure to seat into the cradle, but it does, and holds the unit firmly in position while allowing easy adjusting the unit for proper viewing angles.
