Worked great until my helper that day decided not to listen to me and tried to cut a steel cable. I need blades to replace them. I came back to helper within minutes and ' they were like that" was his response. I've only had them a few weeks. These performed better than expected. The cuts on 4/0 were clean and straight making fitting the lugs very easy.

Personally, I think these cutters are absolutely capable and likely everything the average, professional, electrician needs; I've no complaints so far.I'm an industrial electrician, for me having ratchet cutters is essential, I don't want to be lugging a sawzall up and down stairs while cutting cable off of reels and spudding in MCC/PLC cabinets.I've owned four hundred dollar Knipex cutters, to me, I feel that the Southwire cutters are every bit as good...for half the price; the same goes for the Greenlee options.It's like this, let's be real, even IF the top-tier brands (if we can call them such) last a lot longer, will you actually get to extract the life out of them? Or will you be like me - have your tools there's three times in a year?Straight up, I refuse to pay more than $200 for cutters anymore, there's no need for them to be so expensive...and thefting is out of control; luckily, Southwire is offering the right tool for a much better price (honestly, $100 would be enough to pay for any cutters).Aaaaanyway, yes, buy these cutters, they're absolutely capable and as advertised; quality appearance and feel, smooth action, easy release mechanism, clean cut.

This cutter is comparable to the greenlee product. Works excellent. Used it on copper 2/0 and copper 4/0 and it worked great. One hand cutting. Fast. Only thing I would say is that I'm not sure the spring on the handle will last as it looks weak. Cannot beat this tool for the price though.

Excelentes pinzas, las probe con calibre 500 kcm de cobre varios cortes y siguen en exelente estado, muy recomendables.
