This bread proofing set really has all the things I need to make sourdough loaves, except for the actual ingredients! The kit comes with 9" and 10" rattan proofing baskets (with linen liners), a silicon kneading mat, whisk, spatula, basting-type brush, cleaning brush, and a scoring lamee device. Everything is well made and good quality.

Getting into creating sour dough. It’s such a big deal right now. This seems like. Great set to start up with. When looking up online recipes and how to do it, everything that is listed that I need comes in this set. The bowls are made well, very durable and it promises not to crack. They’re easy to wash up and dry. All the tools that come with it, makes it easy to get everything together, the spatula is a nice size to get everything mixed up, the brush makes it easy to glaze the bread in butter. Good gift for someone who is getting into it

I ordered this set a while ago and only recently was able to use it (I had to buy some starter). It worked great! The set comes with all the tools required to create your loaves. The bowl is nice and sturdy and the tools are good quality and easy to clean. Now that the first loaf is made, I plan to try to make bread much more frequently given the set makes it easy to have everything you need as soon as you are ready with the ingredients.

The Spardar Bread Proofing Basket Set is a great set for those looking to get started with making sourdough bread – and it’s at an excellent price.I’ve been baking sourdough bread regularly for 40 years. I know that bannetons are expensive. I had four 10” ones that were just over $30 EACH! But unfortunately I recently lost them when our freezer died. Mine didn’t have the cotton liners and we’d put the dough straight into them, but you have to dust them with rice flour first (any other flour won’t do). To avoid having to clean them of flour after each use, and to keep bugs away, we bagged them all up and stored them in a chest freezer. Ours took on the stench of rotting food when the freezer stopped, so we had to throw them out along with over 60 kg of different flours.My opinion on this set:* Bannetons with liners: excellent, as I expect.* Cleaning brush: excellent, very stiff, great for cleaning flour out of the bannetons* Danish whisk: excellent, as I expect, shorter handle than my usual, but good.* Lame and blades: excellent, good quality* Silicone brush and spatula: Both are on the small side* Dough scraper: excellent* Silicone mat: Quite thin, but still effective and REALLY sticks well to the counterIt’s a great set, you get so much and all for the cost of what one banneton usually costs. I’d say go for it, this is a great deal and I highly recommend it!
