The Speakman Anystream 2251 (with flow restrictor removed) is SO exemplary, I had to share the love. This is my 2nd Speakman Anystream. I had a 1990's Speakman Anystream 5 plunger with no restricter at my parents house (still there & working great after 20+ years). Also, for what it's worth I'm a private environmental consultant that designs, & approves onsite Wells & Septic System Permits for the public on behalf of the Dept of Health. I permit over 200+ drilled Wells a year. NEVER settle for Uncle Sam's 2.5 GPM rule. REMOVE THE FLOW RESTRICTOR!It'll DOUBLE the GPM! (As explained below).I purchased the Speakman 2251 (8 plunger) bc I built a new house last summer. In the chaos of building, the builder purchased a Moen shower-head at Lowes bc of the next-day county building inspection. Therefore, I didn't check the GPM since it was 2024 & surly shower-tech couldn't be bad if you paid up for name brands. (Beyond stupid of me). After 3 months in my new house using the $250 Moen "Rain" plastic square with BEST PURCHASE I've EVER made besides my Rolex Explorer. (I know I sound pretentious, but trust me).If this cost $800 I'd still buy it.It arrived & the 1st thing I did was remove the "white plastic flow regulator" with a wood/drywall screw & pliers as everyone recommends (see YouTube). Remember to PUT BACK the arched metal screen with the black gasket. That's NOT a flow restrictor! The screen creates a uniform stream/flow (just like a sink faucet does bc they have screens) & outside faucets don't. And the rubber gasket creates watertight seal. It also keeps debris/minerals out of the head. Plumbers tape's included so I installed it immediately. It took 3 minutes. I did this at 1am while my fiancee was going to bed & she said: "I'll try it in the morning". I said: "Ok.. but I'm taking this beast for a test drive now". Holly Sh**! It was the BEST shower I've EVER had. It felt like I had been kissed by God while standing under a 50' ft hot waterfall with an on-the-fly lever that EASILY controls the flow/spray/pressure. The Speakman (8 plunger) is an absolute BEAST of shower luxury. It was so much water all you could hear was the drain roaring. I literally had water stuck in my ear. Afterwards she asked: "how was it? I just smiled & said: "you can be the judge in the morning".The next morning I heard her yelling OMG, this is AWESOME! Then continued praising it with screams each minute. She was so happy for the rest of the day & still continued shouting she loves it while taking a 2nd shower that evening. Now its a race to see who's gonna take a shower 1st when we get home. Plus, after every shower she takes now I hear her gasp/exhale with satisfaction as if she finished a 5k run. The Speakman (8 plunger) is exactly as all other 5 star reviews describe. Large spray coverage, especially if your shower head's mounted @ 7+ ft. I still love the (6 plunger), but that's definitely for smaller showers (like tub/shower combos).If you have a larger walk-in-shower then definitely get the 8 plunger size. Literally a MUST BUY! Beyond a FIRST CLASS experience! If this was Seinfeld, it would be the "Commando 450, only used in the circus to wash elephants". You'll never go back to any other brand I assure you. It's truly the Rolex of shower heads. The all brass construction will last forever. Plus, 100% TAKE OUT the flow restrictor! Removing it is quintessential to the experience of ultimate UNREGULATED high flow luxary performance. It went from 2.5GPM to 5GPM. I've used the fancy showers with (2-3 heads at once) & this kills them. Those 3 shower head systems are garbage. Combined, they still only total 2.5GPM. Therefore it's only 3 week shower heads combining to give you 2.5GPM... This Speakman is BEYOND better than those systems & all other heads. It delivers 5GPM with the flow restrictor removed!(FYI) - I tested it to see how many GPM discharged in 1 minute after removing the flow restrictor. It filled up a 5 gallon bucket 2" inches from the top in 60 seconds! That's 5 GPM with your custom choice of pressure & flow on-the-fly. Full on rain/flood/waterfall to firm/powerful 68 massaging streams. It's truly the BEST shower head EVER.BUY THIS NOW!!!

This is a fantastic shower head. We needed one that could stand up to being outdoors and this solid and very heavy one has been amazing for us. The spray adjustments are continuous and smooth. I expect this shower head to last a long time, even in the hot sunny climate we live in. Would definitely purchase again!

The shower head was very easy to install. The box even had the thread seal tape. It's a heafty and was larger than I expected, in a good way. The handle effortlessly turns and adjust the 8 plunger to give you fine jets to a good coverage flood spray. Good pressure and water coverage. I'll never buy another shower head again. It's following me for the rest of my life.

I found no need to remove the water saver. Gives a good range of sprays, only thing I found a little annoying, being a cold shower man, is that as you are recovering that you get a constant cold drip on you’re head for a minute or two. Also I paid £45 more that is very annoying.
