This item has short legs to facilitate draining of the dishwater. However, for those who are washing just a few items and don't want to waste water, simply reverse it so the legs face up, minimizing water use. It's a sturdy product that suggests it will last a long time. Highly recommended.

If you have a newer style non-aerated nozzle, these are really great! It stops faucet splatter out of the sink and it sits on tiny legs so kitchen scraps wash out easily into the disposal. Good design but wish they had a couple more different sizes and colors. I'd buy more!

Really like the design and all the holes makes drainage quick. The little feet make sure that food items don't get stuck under the mat. Big attraction for me was that they would not float. Very disappointed that they do.

I cook a lot. This sink isn’t for decoration. I no longer regret getting a porcelain sink because of these mats.These mats are worth the price for the housework saved. They work on the same principle as metal racks in industrial kitchen sinks; preventing damage but allowing water and waste to flow away. The mats sit on raised bump-legs over the porcelain surface. This means that sink waste isn’t trapped on the surface either, so no more yellow stains from trapped food and coffee.We had plastic flat rock-like sinks mats which trapped waste under them. It would take a stain cleaner and then sealing it with a ceramic cleaning coat frequently to make the sink look good. I haven’t had to do that since I got these mats. Using the garbage disposal is a simple matter of lifting the rigid mat.And they look cool!
