I would rate these higher except the newer design has had a radical sizing change. My first pair of these was purchased in 2011. Has been a great swim fin, finally one of them tore in the heel just recently - so that means they lasted 7 years. That's pretty good, I think. They were size large, which on the fin is clearly listed as a men's size 10-11. I actually wear a size 9.5-10, so was surprised that they were pretty snug. As it turned out, snug was good - no chafing. So when they finally broke, I ordered a new pair, also size large. Oddly, the size chart now says that size large is not men's 10-11, it's men's 9-10. And the fin is definitely at least one size larger than the one I had in the past. So I guess I'll have to downsize to medium now?Anyway, this is just a warning to those with older fins that the sizing has completely changed for this exact same model of swim fin.

My husband bought these fins to train for a triathlon. After conducting his research he settled on a pair of the Speedo Bifouse fins. His shoe size is a 8 1/2 - 9 in men's. He followed the advice of other reviews and ordered up a size buying the Large which according to Speedo's website are designed for a foot size of 10-11. They fit perfectly. His foot would never have fit into the Medium size. The design is great and they feel wonderful. He has worn them for about 4 hours worth of pool time with no reported pain or blisters. They fit nice and snug. It is hard to see in the photo, but these fins have little "lips" on the back and front of where your foot slides in, which the wearer can hold while putting them. These help with putting them on and he has not had to flip the heel inside out in order to get them on. He would recommend these to anyone looking for training fins.

I used to use zoomer 2s. But they bleed colors and I have had three pairs of swim socks wear out. rather than buy another pair of swim socks I decided to give these a try.I read the many reviews with some concern about sizing I have a very wide foot in the toe box and I wear a 9 in women's shoes. I ordered the large. It is dark gray in the fin and toe area, light gray in the heal. I first put it on like a slip on shoe, not so easy. But then I remembered how divers put on their fins, turn the heal inside out. Turn out the heal until the top is under the footbed, slide your foot in all the way and then turn up the heal. It was easy, and with my foot fully in the large runs a bit long for me. I might have been able to wear a medium. It feels more comfy than my zoomers. One more note about sizing on the bottom of the fin it has more sizing info including European sizing of 43-44. I wear a European size of 42 so the sizing makes sense. It is a bit too long. The others sizes listed are UK 9-10 and CM 28-29, US 10-11 so that sounds like women's sizes to me. I hope that helps. You might also like to know they have sturdy tabs on the upper and the heal to grasp to help put them on, very helpful. After I swim with them I may come back with a different star rating, but I have not tried them in water yet.Update: I really like these fins and use them in about half my workouts. They have held up very well and I am glad not to need swim socks. They are bigger and heavier than the Zoomers, I did end up getting the Zoomers yellow (gold?) they work the muscles a little differently and no longer need swim socks with the new softer material. These do slow down my kick, while the Zoomers are much closer to my natural kick. Bottom line is these are good and durable. I think you will add a lot to your leg strength with these.Happy Swimming

I am currently a masters swimmer and former competitive swimmer in my youth. I have the "no kick gene", and always am looking for tools to help strengthen my kick. Over the last couple years I have used Zoomer's (red and blue) and TYR split fins. The Speedo Biofuse worked my legs, calves, much harder than any of those others. I have yet to see if it has helped drop my times in a meet, but they are helping my kick in practice. They fit my flat feet well, but I found the sizing to be small small, so size up to get a decent fit. I also believe it is good to "rotate" training aids, like fins and paddles, to get optimum effect and help avoid boredom. These fins deserve a rotation in the swim bag if you are more than just a casual swimmer.
