The new hanging fixture made of aluminum painted white can be seen in the photograph centered on the door and replaced a corroded one that was about 16 years old and a bit larger. I bought the smaller 6.5" x 6.5" x 12" high size for easier handling during installation although a larger 8.27" x 8.27" x 15.35" size is also available. The light came with a chain and electrical wiring a lot longer than I needed. I recently bought "chandelier pliers" which are inexpensive and very easily allow you to open up links so they can be removed but also then close links. Obviously cutting the wiring shorter as needed is very easy.

This thing is a great little device for tracking your laps in the pool. I wish I had one of these back in the eighties when I was swimming for miles in the pool every day. Simple enough to use, ergonomic if properly placed for pushing the lap count button with the thumb at each turn, and surprisingly does not impact my stroke like I thought it would. For me, the only downside is that my eye-sight up close is not great, so it is hard for me to quickly glance at the display to read the lap count or time, but it is in a better position than my watch to grab a glance (Note: I cannot read my watch either). That said, I am unsure if they could make the display any bigger without changing the form-factor, but if they could, it would be even better. I don't know how long the battery will last or the protocol for having it swapped out, but I will cross that bridge when the time comes. For the money, the ability to better track my laps, and my sanity the value to expense ratio for me was worth every penny!

Ich habe mir das S.C.C gekauft weil ich gerne meine Vortschritte dokumentieren wollte. Das S.C.C ist echt eine sehr gute Hilfe für mich und vor allem eine große Motivation. Mich persönlich interressieren nicht die einzelnen Zeiten, mich interessiert die Anzahl der Runden. Ich bin kein großer Mensch daher habe ich auch reletiv kleine Hände, damit möchte ich sagen dass der S.C.C für mich persönlich schon groß ist, Ich komme aber mittlerweile damit klar. Für Leute die beim Zählen durcheinander kommen ist das gar nicht mal soo schlecht ;)
