This worked as good as the round version. I even used a sharp knife to cut my cake on the surface and it didn't scratch. However, I was probably lucky. I would not suggest that. The only concern is finding a square cake plate after you've baked with this. My cake turned out great!

Appears to be made well but doesn't seal tight at the corners. I'm not sure if contents will leak out before baking. You'd definitely need to seal it outside if you want to use a water bath.

We use this pan for sensory sand, and it works well. Easy to get the sand out, and to put it back away. Works well for our purposes, but we can’t speak to the original purpose of the pan.
