Started learning bass more seriously a couple years ago. Had an Ibanez Gio from early 00's that I used for recording but when I got the bug to learn more techniques and such- of course I had to spend money on something new. Currently have that Ibanez, and Squire 54 Paranormal Jazz and a Squire Jaguar. A few months ago I picked up a used Squire Bronco for around $100 just to check it out. Really like the form and size. It has/had the 2 saddle configuration so made intonating difficult- if not impossible. Ended up replacing the saddle then I routed out a pocket near the bridge for a humbucker and installed it. It works great, but I messed up on the routing a bit and now the bass needs some heavy cosmetic work.Anyway, I was in the market for a second one and noticed they have the Sonic line with the 4 saddle config- so I waited for a used on to show up and I snagged it. Is it worth full price? Yes, but this was a severe 'want' for me, not a 'need' so I was down to wait.Great bass, like the color (Coral). I can recommend.

i've been playing guitar for most of the last 20 years at least and can fiddle a little on bass but usually it just feels way too big. thought i'd take a chance on a short scale one to record bass lines or mess around in my room. i really cant believe how easy the transition was. this feels and plays great. no trouble moving up and down the fretboard or playing quick;y.the bridge on this Sonic model is very nice. i had no issue intonating or tuning.the pickup it comes up with sounds cool but is dinky by any stretch. pretty low output, i didnt meaurebuti'm willing to bet 6-7K or even lower. i put in one of those cheap dual rail humbucker types and am completely 100% satisfied with this thing for all bass needs. i was mostly concerned about the middle only pickup.. obviously it's a good balance between neck and bridge.. the tone is great to me, and i like not having to think too much about, as opposed to my guitars with so many options.dont hesitate if you're a guitar player wanting to try a bass! Also as another review mentioned, the Tahitian coral is MUCH more pink in real life. I am fine with it but probably would have gone with the blue / rosewood board one if I knew it would be so pink

Got this as a birthday gift. Shipping was delayed only to arrive broken. Somehow I knew it would be thrown around with no regard. Never got to play it bc I had to send it back.
