This little usb cable works great for on the go. The little keychain attachment is a neat feature.

ITEM:StarLinker 15cm USB4 Cable 240W 6inch with Keychain FlatPROS:Well-made short flat cable, that doesn't kink. Cell charged faster than when I've used other cables. Comes with a Keychain holder.CONS:The Keychain accessory, while nice looking, is not a secure holder. You'd have to hold it by that round rather than the strap-like loop formed by the cable when attached.FINAL THOUGHTS:I had thought the Keychain attachment would convert the cable into a Keychain loop, but I'd only feel secure using it that way if I added a safety chain looped around both ends that would be secured in the Keychain clasp as well. (I'll probably design one, as I don't want to have to carry the cable loose where the connectors could get dirty. So think of it more as acting as a dust or lint protector.) The cable actually came off the Keychain holder, when I put it in my crossbody bag. So either way, it needs something to secure it. If it weren't simply a silicone cap, it would be awesome if the ends actually snap or connect onto the Keychain. Then I would trust it to hang off a belt loop, purse, or backpack.

TL;DR: decent cable for your portable M.2 SSD that works for throughput, power, and video but is a bit expensive. The "keychain" functionality doesn't work well since the cables come out too easily.Pros:+ Works for for data throughput, charging ability, and video. Tested to the extent I can (see below)+ liked the ability to have the cable as a keychain (but see con below)Cons:- keychain function is a bit gimmicky - the cable comes out too easily- bit expensive for the size- minor: wish the keychain connector was black. The blue looks cheap.Testing details:Throughput:Copied 70GB file from M.2 device to M.2 storage on laptop. Compared throughput to another Thunderbolt cable. Throughput was same.Charging:Charged my laptop with this Thunderbolt cable. Full power delivered (over 90W)Video:Used the cable for video with a 2K laptop portable screen. Worked perfectly.

Since the cable is flat, it's a lot more flexible (in one direction) than a traditional round cable would be. That, combined with the short length, make it perfect for connecting a phone to a power bank, or an external SSD to a computer (or to a phone, or the phone to a computer.... you get the idea.)My only qualm is with the keychain holder. While it keeps the cable tidy and the connectors protected, it doesn't retain the cable securely enough to really use on a keychain. I'd be worried the cable would fall and get lost pretty easily. It just needs to be deeper, to hold more of the cable on either end.One end of the cable clearly as the 40Gbps 240W rating printed on it, something I always appreciate.I had no issues charging or transferring data with this cable. All of the required signals are passed through, and the cable is properly e-marked for for 240W (50V 5A) operation. Resistance for ground and VBUS came out to ~134 milliohms. More than acceptable for the power it can carry. This cable is not USB-IF certified, nor does the manufacturer claim it to be.Overall, this is a very useful little cable. It's not at all bulky and quite flexible, despite being specced as high as it is. The keychain holder is a bit of a disappointment, but otherwise I don't have anything to complain about.
