I was hoping to stamp letters into these sort of like a dog tag with names added and then attached to keychains. The first time I tried hitting a metal letter punch on one, it bent the whole tag. I ended up putting stickers on them instead. It worked, but it was not what I was hoping for.

When engraved by a Fiber Laser Marker they would not show up Brass Colored underneath i can tell you that. they are not Stainless Steel at all.

the description says these are made from steelNOT TRUE... I needed steel disks (glue onto glass and the use small magnets to post messsges etc)shiny aluminum does not attract magnetsBuyer Beware!!!
