I have had a Whirley popper for over 20 years. It has started to fall apart. The plastic gears come apart and I can’t stir the popcorn once it gets above an inch or so popped. I was in the market for another type of stovetop storing popper. Nothing beats stovetop popcorn. Microwave can’t come close. The Time for Treats popcorn popper is an amazing product.My old popper was lightweight aluminum. It worked great but had a major design flaw with the plastic gears. The Time for Treats popcorn popper solves this problem with the solid cable that connects to the stirring mechanism. It is also very heavy duty stainless steel with a thick base. The top is secured with a clasp and only half the top opens. My old popper would open up both sides and I would get popcorn all over. The magnetic clasp to hold the popper open works great, you still have to hold it in place with your thumb but the little handle makes it easy to hold it open without getting popcorn all over the counter. There is an insulated handle opposite the stir handle to help empty the popped corn The stirring mechanism and the cable have to be installed. The directions on this are not that clear. I installed it the first time thinking it is best to have it stretched out to the longest point of the cable. I tightened the mechanism to the cable and popped a batch of popcorn. The stirring mechanism was binding and the set screw came loose and I had to to just shake the popper in order to get the corn popped. I popped a great batch of popcorn but something wasn’t right.After the unit cooled, I took it apart and tried a second time to install the stir mechanism. I held the stir mechanism all the way into the handle that is used to hold the popper. I set the stir mechanism on the cable. I let it settle lol the way to the bottom on the stir mechanism. I then tightened the set screw. The best part of this total assembly is the weight that goes on the shaft of the popper that slides down and hold the stir mechanism to its lowest point without and any binding. They need to update the install instructions to include the best way to install.This popper is amazing! I use under a half cup of Orville Redenbacher popcorn because a half cup pops so much it is hard to get it out of the 6 quart popper! I use 3 tablespoons of Orville oil. The stirring mechanism keeps the popcorn stirred up until the last 1/2 inch when I have to then just move the popper on the fire. Once it starts to pop I lower the gas and then near the end I shut off the fire and then just use the heat from the popper’s very thick bottom. It is not the thin bottom of my old popper but a thick bottom like in gourmet cook wear.The popcorn popper is filled to the brim and there are hardly any old maids. No burning at all.Great tasting popcorn!I highly recommend the Time for Treats popcorn popper to any one that loves delicious stovetop popcorn.

This is a must if you want to try making gourmet popcorn.The thick, steel base distributes the heat evenly when adding flavourings.I mushroom popcorn ( it creates giant puffs of corn).

I love this popcorn maker, it’s does an amazing job of creating delicious popcorn, however after just 10 rounds of popcorn the handle just fell off in my hand. Disappointing.

It is a very shiny, nice looking popcorn popper. It is well designed and no doubt it is stainless steel throughout. The instructions are excellent and will have a mechanically challenged person install the crank within 15 minutes.I have been using a hot air popper for at least 40 years and I find they work really well. I was looking to buy what looked like great Canadian popcorn that required a whirley popper. I had no idea what that was and soon found out and this one seems as good as any out there and has great features to prevent burning one's hands.After reading all of the amazing 5 star reviews on how every kernel pops big and fluffy and no unpopped kernels left behind I decided it was time to buy.Now my hot air popper always leaves about 5 unpopped kernels with about 20% of the kernels popping too small to eat.Guess what?With this popper there are about 15 kernels not popped and about 25% that pop too small to eat and even the best ones are smaller than what the hot air popper puts out.I now conclude that this pops better than just an old saucepan and that is what the reviewers must be comparing it to.I would give my old hot air popper a score of 5 and a score of 3 for this popper. With a hot air popper there is zero clean up while one spends several minutes cleaning this popper. Also the hot air popcorn is fluffier and softer to eat. I am afraid I will use this nice shiny pan to make soup or something else.

Hace las palomitas muy bien, Es practica, Se siente frágil la manivela y hay que armarla bien desde el principio, Esta débil la llave para apretar el tornillo se me barrio al apretarlo una 2da vez

Excelente compra, es mejor usar esta olla para preparar las palomitas que una maquina electrica, muy buena calidad, muy robusta y el mecanismo de la manivela mucho mejor que los engranes.

Wir haben bereits teflonbeschichtete Pfannen mit Rührstab probiert, Per Hand im Topf, diese sinnlosen Luftpopcorn-Maschinen. Das Erlebnis war immer unterirdisch.Dieser Topf ist genial. Der Griff ist gummiert, so dass man ihn ohne sich zu verbrennen entleeren kann. Auf der anderen Seite befindet sich der Holzgriff, der ebenfalls nicht warm wird.Das Geschmackserlebnis ist unglaublich. Wir haben uns die Kino-Tauglichen Mushroom-Popcorn bestellt (diese gibt es meist nicht im Supermarkt) und waren extrem erfreut. Das Ergebnis ist sogar besser als im Kino. So gute Popcorn hatten wir noch nie.Der Topf war schnell sauber gemacht.Lediglich die Anleitung, wie man den Stab montiert könnte man verbessern, aber mit logischen Sachverstand, bekommt man das hin.

Desde chico siempre he sido un gran ávido comedor de palomitas, es mi snack favorito. Durante mis 36 años de vida, siempre las había hecho en las típicas ollas tradicionales, de las que usaban nuestras madres y si me quedaban bien, pero siempre había que estar tanteando para que no se quemaran y muchas veces sobraban semillas sin reventar.Con esta olla pueden olvidarse de todo eso, revienta el 99% de las semilla y no se queman. Es PERFECTA! Y lo mejor es que es de Acero Inoxidable, por lo que no hay riesgo de consumir químicos desprendidos del aluminio o del teflón en ollas de otros materiales. Recomiendo la olla sin lugar a dudas.

La verdad es que dudaba si comprar esta olla iba a ser buena idea. Después de una enorme descepción con una pequeña máquina para hacer palomitas de aire, era esta olla o pensar en invertir en una máquina de aplomitas de aceite.Vaya sorpresa, la olla es de material de calidad, con madera real en la agarradera y el mango giratorio, con instrucciones claras y herramienta necesaria para ensamblarla. Pero sobre todo, el resultado de utilizarla, palomitas de-li-cio-sas, no aguadas, no quemadas, y con un muuuy bajo número de semillas sin tronar (de 1/2 taza me suelen quedar unas 4 o 5 sin tronar).Solo le dí 4 estrellas por que tiene un pequeño imán para sostener la tapa abierta, este imán va ensartado al mango de madera pero se soltó a la seguna usada. No es mucho problema, solo hay que poner un poco de pegamento y meter el imán de nuevo.No podría recomendar mas esta compra.

excelente producto,anteriormente tenia una pero era de engranes y se rompieron esta es diferenteme encántan las palomitas, y pienso que en cada casa debe de haber una de estas parahacerlas en casa calentitas al momentolas de microondas chequen el paquete antes de hacerlas apriétenlas y es grasa en masa dura y estas con poquita aceite quedan sin grasa
