Nice made, but not super. Durability is also under question. Chalk that comes with it is super easy to clean from surface, like your circular saw can blow out your line, in worst case scenario. You will need some time to get used to it and manage to get enough chalk on a line. Have string stuck inside, manage to solve it but it frustrating for a new tool used less than a week...

Like others have said, it's good for chalking for 8-10 feet, but any more and the chalk doesn't seem to stick to the string good and you have dry spots and have to chalk multiple times to get a good line. Also the blue chalk is absolutely garbage, I used it for one day and dumped it out and put other red Irwin chalk in at work that is better.I came from a Tajima chalk line and although that chalk line is 3x the price, I firmly believe it's worth it. This one is very frustrating to use.Update: My line broke and I lost the hook so I opened my back up chalk line and filled it up. Literally the first pull (didn’t overfill btw) the metal inside holding the line literally fell off and jammed up inside the box on the first try. They are literally garbage and so cheaply made.Tajima is infinitely better, Irwin tools are made for children learning about construction

It's fine for smaller distances but anything over 10 feet or so the chalk never seems to integrate with the string. I often have dry spots and have to run the line again and still usually only get a faint line. Not great for buildings, good for marking sheet goods and smaller spans. On the plus it does seem pretty durable and has smooth action.
