Es una herramienta echa de materiales de exelente calidad, vale 100% lo que cuesta. Nada más si compran en color negro contemplen que con el uso se va a rallar y se le va a ir quitando lo negro pero ah mi opinión la hace ver más ruda

El producto es muy bueno, sin embargo a mí me llegó con funda de nylon, no de cuero como lo menciono la descripción.

El modelo Surge tiene las herramientas más importantes para trabajo pesado. Creo que esta herramienta debe ser adquirida siempre con los accesorios adicionales como las puntas de desarmador y la extensión de desarmador, puesto que pienso que está diseñada para un trabajo robusto y el kit completo de puntas de desarmador proveen la mejor versatilidad de este equipo. Aún no he usado una Leatherman pavonada y temo que con el tiempo se noten las ralladuras que evidencien que la herramienta va envejeciendo, cosa que no sucede con el color plata natural, pero el producto en negro se ve magnífico.

Es un instrumento formidable. muy completo y útil.El problema es que es difícil de abrir y cerrar. No lo uso todos los días así que la conseja de que se suaviza con el tiempo y el uso, es un tanto inútil.Y no sé cómo hacer para ablandar la pinza.Fuera de eso, que es muy importante, bueno.

Me encanta. La calidad que esperas de una marca y producto así. Buena variedad de herramientas y son resistentes. El acabado es uniforme y a pesar del uso que le he dado no se le ha empezado a desvanecer. Muy sólida, es grande y pesada, sin embargo se siente cómoda al usarla.

Any serious hobbyist would agree with the fact that this is one of the best pocket multitool out there. I ordered the black oxide coated surge. This specific surge needs to be washed with a brush and soap to get rid of the excess black oxide. Your hands will get messy if you dont do that. Then wash it down with some WD-40 to get rid of all the water from the joints. Apply some grease, but that is optional. The interchangeable blades are awesome. Also, it has got some weight to it which i really like to be honest. Rest assured this Leatherman surge is a beast and you cannot possibly go wrong with it.

**** I encourage you to read the entire post because it's important and will save you frustration. But, to summarize this post, IT NEEDS MAINTENANCE RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! If you want it to operate smoothly, please take heed to my advice.If you're going to purchase the black version, go right now and buy a tamper-proof torx bit set as well as hoppe's cleaning solvent, gun oil, cleaning patches, and q-tips because you will need them to properly adjust the tightness of the screws and to clean off the excess coating & apply proper lubrication (because it did not really come lubricated at all).. It's a good idea to have these maintenance items on hand anyways because you will eventually need them to periodically maintain its condition, but the condition it came in brand new was frustrating since it is a top-of-the-line tool.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Here's my full message:If you want a review of the tool itself, there are already enough reviews out there to study and I can verify that they are accurate because this tool is everything what you want in this class of multitool. However, I want to accentuate the condition this tool came to me brand new so that you are aware and understand. I am not talking about sharpness of tools or build construction, those were perfect. I am specifically speaking for the coating and lubrication of the black version only and would assume this would have been different with the regular stainless model.First, all of the reviews talking about the coating coming off (and having black hands) were accurate. I discovered this for myself but realized that it's not the coating that rubs off, it's that there is a lot of excess residual paint sitting on all surfaces of the tool. You WILL need to remove this, and I'll talk about that below. But, the coating is actually very durable.Also, the reviews stating that some tools were too tight or loose were also accurate because I needed to adjust mine right out of the box. Please read below because you need a special tool to do this.*YOU NEED A TAMPER-PROOF TORX BIT SET TO ADJUST THE SCREWS. Normal torx bits will not work because they do not have the tiny hole in the middle of the bit and will not allow the screw to loosen. These are security screws that hold the tool together, which is great but it means normal torx bits don't work. So go right now and buy them along with the leatherman if you don't already have them because some of the tools require excessive force to open right out of the box which could result in injury or death (halfway joking).*YOU NEED CLEANING SOLVENT AND LUBRICATING OIL TO GET RID OF THE EXCESS COATING AND PROPERLY LUBE THE TOOL. Apparently, leatherman did not care to make sure their product was properly lubed or free of excess coating after manufacturing. It's kind of disappointing when a premium tool like this needs maintenance right out of the box. The operation and deployment of tools was a bit grindy and crunchy. BUT, this is nothing to fret over because you will eventually need to maintain its condition when it starts to get grindy and crunchy. I like to think of this as a friendly reminder by leatherman that you should have tool cleaning products on hand in the first place.I personally used hoppe's cleaning solvent and gun oil that I had on hand, and it instantly made the world of difference. I'm assuming most people who buy this tool are likely to have hoppe's somewhere in their house (because most multi tool owners are probably gun owners too!), but I would still recommend you use hoppe's even if you do not own a firearm. I use hoppe's on all tools because the stuff is just magical. Not only does it make the leatherman smell heavenly, it actually 'loosened' it up and now operates like it should; nice and smooth.I recommend you use gun patches or q-tips soaked in the cleaning solvent and scrub in every nook and cranny to get all the excess coating off, then put small drops of oil in ALL of the pivoting points or areas of friction (such as the liner lock and plier storage area of the handle) and work it in by opening & closing each tool several times. Again, if you don't have cleaning solvent and gun oil on hand, go right now and buy them along with the leatherman because this is a necessity to keep the tool in great shape.You'll be surprised at how much excess paint comes off, almost like a gun that hasn't been cleaned in 1000 rounds (extremely dirty and you will use lots of cleaning patches). This was very disappointing to me and I almost took a star off because leatherman doesn't seem to care about shipping their amazing tools in proper shape. It's kind of frustrating when you get a new expensive tool and immediately have to do some maintenance on it. But again, you'll need these things to take care of it over its life anyways so it's not a huge deal. I left the star on because it still deserves all of them. It's a 5-star tool that came in a 2-star 'operational condition', but the tool is so awesome that I kept all 5 stars."Take care of your tools and they will take care of you." - someone

Great tool, all of the implements work exceptionally. Be wary of the knife and saw blade as they will take the top few layers of skin off any fingers that open them wrong. The build quality is sturdy and you can feel the quality in the weight.Long term owners update: Finally got the tool sent in for warranty service. Nothing wrong with it save a chipped blade and the screw drivers being loose. Now that it's back it works good as new and looks next to it. This is the definitive tough tool along side the Supertool 300. If you are in construction, electrical, and trade work, or something like military or police this is the tool for you.

Es un poca mas pesada que la versión anterior, lo cual la hace mas resistentes, creo que es la mejor herramienta que ha fabricado leatherman, y en negro se ve excelente, la navaja tiene acceso rapido, lo que la hace mas practica

A quality-made, full-size multitool. The Surge has the best combination of component tools, in my opinion. Highly recommended for tool kit, camping, auto/truck, and household use.
