I bought this to repair a tshirt and keep the fabric from bulking up . Worked great!

I guess some people don’t like plastic hoops. I have found this one to be great. I was struggling with the bamboo type because they kept slipping. The smaller piece -that you’d use on the back of your work has a small “lip” which works to hold the fabric very well.

Great super grip hoop that maintains tension very well. Can cause permanent hoop marks if not bound, be careful if moving around a larger project.Only problem is getting it delivered to UK from USA - why is it acquiring delays due to EU customs?!!!!

I was very happy with the 10" Susan Bates hoop I bought at Jo-ann, so I ordered 7" and 4" hoops on Amazon. They both came without the tightening nut. At the hardware store, the closest thing I could find was a 6/32 knurled nut but it was too tight. The next size up was way too big. Then I thought... could it be (god forbid) METRIC? No... thought I, impossible... the listing says it's made in the USA. WRONG! The tag on this hoop says made in China, and it says this in English, French and Spanish so you can understand. So: in summary, this item is not made in the USA as this listing says, and it is known to be shipped without the tightening nut, as other frustrated reviewers can attest. I have sent an email to Coats & Clark customer service, asking them if they can send the missing nuts, or at the very least tell me what size they are so I can get them myself. I will update this review if they respond.UPDATE: I have changed my review to five stars. I wrote directly to Coats & Clark to complain that the two hoops I ordered from Amazon had come with no tightening nuts, and that several reviewers had had the same experience. I got a prompt response from one Ann Blalock, who immediately sent me replacement hoops (I had just requested the size of the tightening nuts to I could find them at the hardware store!!)I am very pleased with this customer service, especially since I hadn't even bought the hoops directly from Coats & Clark. I also returned the original hoops to Amazon and have received one replacement but not the other, and they refunded my shipping costs in addition to the replacement, so kudos to Amazon too. The Coats & Clark reply is below."Thank you for your recent inquiry.
