High quality embroidery hoop. No need to bind this hoop before use. I first heard about Susan Bates hoops in an embroidery blog I follow, run by an embroidery professional. As I was told this does hold your material tight & does not loose tension. It's very light weight and comfortable to hold. The hoop has a super grip lip which is why it's so good at holding your embroidery. There is a right side up to using this hoop. It's marked on the hoop itself and there are simple instructions on the paper label. If used the wrong way round the grip is not so good. Hoop was due to arrive on or after 2nd Aug. It arrived early on 28th July.

Es resistente y de buena calidad pero el mío no venía con la tuerca para ajustar el tamaño. :( .

I'm very pleased with this product. It tightens really well, which is a necessity doing needlework. It grips the fabric so I don't constantly have to keep pulling it out and tightening it. With other embroidery hoops it seems that I spend most of my time taking out the fabric and readjusting the hoop to be able to work on my project. It was also on prime so, I didn't have to pay for shipping.
