I’m really impressed with the quality of this stainless steel cable! The strength and durability are exactly what I needed for my outdoor project. The 7x19 strands provide excellent flexibility while maintaining the toughness required for heavy-duty applications. I used it for a DIY zip line, and it performed flawlessly, supporting the weight with no signs of wear or stretching. The black finish adds a sleek, modern look that blends seamlessly with my yard’s decor, making it not just functional but aesthetically pleasing too.The cable is easy to work with and feels solid, offering peace of mind when it comes to safety. With a 3700lb breaking strength, it’s reassuring to know it can handle significant loads, whether it’s used for a zip line, deck railing, or even hanging string lights. It’s versatile enough to use in various applications around the house or yard. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a strong, reliable, and visually appealing cable for any heavy-duty project!

I have a number of DIY projects around the house that benefit from using stainless steel cable rather than heavy rope. For example, I’m currently using this product to reposition a leaning pomegranate tree. Over the next year, the tree should learn to grow more vertically, and the stainless steel cable is an essential part of that process. To set it up, I first used a winch to bring the tree into a more upright position, then attached this cable with some garden hose to act as an insulator to prevent the metal from damaging the tree. The reason I opted for stainless steel cable instead of rope is simple: it’s far more reliable for heavy-duty applications. Over the years, I’ve had plenty of experiences where a rope, no matter how strong it seemed at first, failed prematurely. Whether it snapped while I was setting it up or simply wore out after a short period, rope just isn’t built to withstand the same level of stress as stainless steel cable. This particular cable, with its 7X19 strand construction and almost 2 tons of breaking strength, is built to last and provides the durability I need for projects like this one.One of the great things about using this cable is that, even though it’s not expensive, it saves you a lot of time and effort in the long run. When you’re setting up something that requires a high level of exertion, like repositioning a tree, using the right material from the get-go means you won’t have to go back later to make adjustments or worry about premature failure. The cable is strong enough to hold the tension needed and won’t stretch or snap unexpectedly, which is crucial for projects that require lasting stability. The flexibility of this cable also makes it versatile for other applications around the house, like setting up deck railings or stringing lights in the yard. It’s easy to work with, and because of its heavy-duty design, I don’t have to worry about it giving out under pressure.Overall, I’m really impressed with the quality and strength of this stainless steel cable. It’s affordable, reliable, and perfect for a wide range of DIY applications. Whether you’re working on heavy-duty tasks like repositioning trees or lighter jobs like hanging string lights, this cable is a great investment for anyone who does DIY work. Four stars—while it’s not the absolute heaviest gauge available, it’s more than strong enough for most home projects.

I used this wire spool on a deck railing. I figured I will try something else for a change and decided to purchase this item. I never dealt with this company but for the price I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely worth it, if you are looking to minimize some of your on construction costs.

I'm giving this a five star initially. I like the price and it seems well made. I'm not using it for deck rails, I'm using it to string up shade curtains in front of an open equipment shed. To achieve this I've made end loops using stainless thimbles and sturdy cable clips. Tension is controlled with a turnbuckle. So far so good. The cable is not very flexible, which it shouldn't be, and cut it with a cutting wheel rather than try bolt cutters. The latter would have mangled it, the former makes a nice clean end. I expect this to last a few years at least. We'll see. If it breaks at the bends, I don't think I'd mark it down since it's not advertised for that.
