It's definitely the correct gasket, and it didn't get damaged this time but, you guys folded it and put it in an envelope to ship it.YOU DO NOT FOLD GASKETS. NEVER. Especially during shipping.

Looked a little different that the original from 2004, but it fit just fine.2004 Avalanche 1500 AWD

So I put a new transmission in my truck two months ago this little gasket here goes in between the transfer case and I sound of the transmission I forgot it but check this out I backed the bolts off back to transfer case back about a half an inch took the gasket slit the top so I could go around the shaft of the transmission and put it all back together without having to pull the transfer case but anyways it work great just don’t forget to put that gasket if you’re ever doing with these

Fit my 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 with the 5.3L exactly. I think some of the negative reviewers on here don't realize you have to turn the gasket a certain way to have the holes line up. The holes are not all the same distance apart. Just turn it the right way and everything is perfect.
