Doesn't even work. Hooked up exactly how it says to. Worthless junk.

This cord came well packaged and in great shape. Feels like a good quality cord for those of you who have optical sound that needs to be converted to analog. Quality is also pretty good once converted. I would give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Tackston 3.5mm to SPDIF Audio Converter is a nice adapter for converting audio from a line out/headphone jack to fiber optic input. The device consists of 2 cables. 1 is an aux type cable the other is a converter. I connected this from my monitor to my book shelf speakers. My idea was to use the audio from NVidia gpu to monitor between my 2 pc without having to connect 2 different cables to my bookshelf speakers. Installation was easy, and functioned instantly. The build quality for the converter was a little disappointing, as the 3.5mm connection was a little loose, thus i used a different aux cable which clicked tightly in. This adapter would be well worth the cost, if the 3.5mm connection would be tighter.Other thoughts: originally I assume this would amplify my sound a little bit, but it didn't. My book shelf speakers sound louder with optical cable input, but wasn't the case with this adapter. Aside from that, I did notice the aux output would cross the wiring, where the left speaker became the right speaker. These 2 thoughts may not be the adapters fault so i didn't feel it affect my opinion on it.

So I lost the optical audio adapter for my older samsung TV while moving, so I decided to give the Tackston 3.5mm to SPDIF Audio Converter a try. First, this cable doesn't work with the optical port on my Samsung TV. I thought it might be comparable to the optical audio adapter. It's intended to be connected to the aux port to optical. But I had to try it. I connected it to the TV's aux port and optical to the soundbar, and it worked great. I thought the aux-to-optical connection might provide better sound, but I couldn't really hear the difference compared to the aux-to-aux connection. Since this cable requires power, I decided to use the aux-to-aux connection instead for simplicity. Considering the price, it might be sufficient to use the aux-to-aux connection to save a few bucks if you have this option available. However, the cable is well-made, easy to set up, and works as advertised.
