Looks and feels just like OEM. Keeping this one as a back up since these can be done by hand. Don’t want to be in a situation where one is loose, breaks, or leaks. Great back up and replacement!

Firstly, I'm really uncomfortable with the concept of plastic oil pans and plastic disposable drain plugs. The vehicle manufacturer recommends replacing the plug at each oil change, so it's good to always have a new one on hand.Compared the plug I removed (see pic, yellow), the section that goes into the pan is identical. What is different is how the plug is inserted. You can see the plug I removed provides for a 3/8 drive while this plug has a tab for finger tightening. Previously, I have overtightened plugs with a 3/8 rachet, ruining the plug. This design allows more control over installing the plug, making sure it is properly in without over tightening. The real test will be when it is removed at the next oil change, to see how easily it comes out.

I was a bit worried about it being comparable quality to the OEM plug but it seems to do the job.
