This is a great place to dry cups and plates after washing. The stone absorbs the water immediately. Liked it so much, got one for my mom for mothers day!

Hi, I don’t know if it’s the amount of dishes we do or not, but I find you definitely have to have a thirsty towel u dryer the low corner. It does NOT suck it up ,at least not fast enough. Maybe if you only have a few dishes after dinner , you’l be ok. But large amounts , big no. It’s 11.8” L x 15.7” W.

I put this Stone Dish Drying Mat for Kitchen Counter next to my sink counter which gets lots of water splashes. So far it's working great and absorbs the water quickly. It didn't come with directions. I figured the sandpaper is to pre-sand it and rinsed the mat before use. I also figured out how to put the feet on. It's small footprint would work well for a small family. It isn't ideal for a large family with lots of washed kitchen items -- so I should have ordered a mat with a larger coverage area.

This thing is SO COOL! It's the first thing I show to people when they come over. I'm absolutely nuts about this mat, both functionally and aesthetically. It dries my dishes super fast, so I never have to worry about a sink full of dishes backing up while a handful of things are drying (for hours) on my fabric drying mat (which ends up smelling awful, way too fast). The absorbency of this mat defies logic. You can run it under water and it's totally dry a couple minutes later! WITCHCRAFT! I'm so in awe. The matte gray finish is really so nice in my kitchen too.My ONLY complaint is that it stains really easily. We have super hard water, so there's a lot of blotching after just a few weeks. I really wish it came in a much darker color which would obscure some of the marking that's making me so sad. Rinsing it/scrubbing it doesn't work to get rid of it, it needs to be sanded, which is both a pain and a bummer.

I was looking for a mat to absorb the splashing of water from a cat fountain. I tried other mats but they always required clean up. This stone was the perfect answer. The water that gets under the fountain doesn't dry easily unless I move the fountain. But, overall very pleased. Looks super clean and organized in the room.
