I should have purchased these earlier. They are thin and can easily tear if you try to stretch them too much to use them over a bowl, plate, etc, that is much larger than these cans stretch. They are good for one time use and I toss them since they are affordable enough. I actually like the fact I can use and toss. Great for sending guests home with leftovers on a paper plate.

I usually get these at the dollar store, but they don't carry them anymore so I ordered them here. They're a little thinner than the ones from the dollar store, but if you carefully open them, they work just fine.

Despite other reviews, I have not had one rip or be too small until today. I tired to stretch one over a 12 inch lasagna dish. The elastic broke, nevertheless the plastic held. I have finally reached their limit. Until today, they have met every challenge without a challenge. Have made cleanup, storage, bug free outdoor eating easy easy. I will never be without them.

These are great bowl covers as long as you don't expect them to last more than a few uses. I have had no problem with tearing new covers as long as I stretch the folded cover before gently slipping it open with my fingertips. Long fingernails make this more difficult.
