Great router for remote access or as a failover WAN (but only has 10/100 connectivity). Has a Quectel EC25 modem inside, and a Mediatek MT7628N MIPS CPU. Runs a customized OpenWRT (RutOS) with regular updates (as of writing, it's running a 5.15 Linux Kernel), and has quite a bit of functionality baked in.

Used this router for about 3 weeks but it acted strangely after about an hour. Its turns out that is was probably a heat problem, figured out by me at day 31, so Im directed to Tech Support. Recieved an email requesting an invoice to prove I was a legitimate purchaser, responded to the company, never heard back.

To comment on the previous poster about using the WAN port as a LAN port.You have to understand that LAN and WAN are Interfaces and have a physical port assigned to them.So to add the 2nd Port (Identified as WAN) to the LAN Interface bridge, you need to perform 2 tasks.Network: In WAN Interfaces configuration disable the WAN and WAN6Network: In the LAN Interfaces configuration, edit LAN, go to section Physical Settings, enable bridge interfaces, add the second ethernet port by its physical name so the list would contain eth0.1 and eth0.2 as the interfaces to bridge.Now both RJ45 ports on the RUT241 are bridged and part of the LAN interface.I love my RUT241 and have both ethernet ports connected as a LAN interface.

I used to buy many of these. They updated their web interface and iptables, but have not updated their support and documentation. There is no longer "use wan as lan" option. Rather you must configure a bridge to which the documentation is poor. However even configuring a bridge, I just cannot get WAN port to work as LAN. So this is pretty useless to me.
