I'll start off with saying that I didn't understand the hype of Tevas for the longest time. In the past, I only tried the standard foamy ones with the straps that dig into your toes (well, for me, at least). Then, I needed to locate a pair of hiking sandals for our trip to Big Island, Hawaii. Based on recommendations, I tried on Chacos, and I was not a fan of the skinny straps and high, firm arches. For reference, I tend to prefer shoes leaning towards barefoot/minimalist styles, with a wide toe box.Let me tell you, when I tried these on, I was immediately in love. They were so comfortable, that prior to our trip, I wore them EVERYWHERE. They are a perfect companion to our hot AZ climate. These were the only shoes that I needed for our week long trip. During that time, we stayed in sites via HipCamp every night - meaning, we were frequently off the beaten path, locating our sites by coordinates. We trudged for hours through forests, in the rain, on lava rock beaches, across the volcano Mauna Loa, in soft dirt, through mud, over countless banyan roots, through lava tubes, and pavements in the city.NOT ONCE did I stumble, nor question the stability of these shoes. NOT ONCE did I complain about my feet hurting. They conform effortlessly to my feet, with three adjustment points on the straps. I could run in these. Dance in these. It's nice to actually find FOOT-SHAPED SHOES! My partner isn't a sandal kind of guy either, and typically only wears flat shoes like Vans, but he loves his pair, too. Neither of us would hesitate about buying another pair if we so need.Seriously, if Jesus made sandals, he'd wear these. Not Birks. :) Buy them.

I wore these on a 3 week trip in July through Taiwan and Japan where I walked at least 10k steps everyday and these were perfect. My feet were tired towards the end of the trip but no blisters or any pain otherwise. Great for the normal streets but also had great traction for when we walked up/down hills and stairs - including in rain and heavy downpours (because apparently July is monsoon season). Bonus that they’re cute and easy to match with everything. Highly recommend!

So the shoes fit great, are comfortable - but holy heck - they stink so bad! they smell like an old hospital, I'm not sure where that smell came from but I left them in my room and I had to get up in the middle of the night and move them to another room. GAG.

I purchased these shoes for my mom who is 90 years old and recovering from hip surgery. She found them to be very easy to put on and off. They provide tons of support while she does physical therapy and they are extremely comfortable. Her ankles sometimes swell so the adjustable straps have ben a huge help and if the weather cools, she throws them on over her socks. They are also very easy to keep clean. She loves them so much that I purchased a second pair in the reddish color.

I bought these for a trip to Maui, knowing that I would be walking a lot and wanted something neutral in color, sturdy, and easy to put on and off. These fit the bill and then some! I wore them everywhere and they were so comfy!. Even with sand and hiking around they still look great and fresh. Love them!
