These fit true to size and worked great for my 3 year old.

My daughter is big for her age and has wider waist/hips for a girl. The elastic was great and size provide enough room in the waist so it doesn't pinch, but also she is not drowning in the shorts/legs.

My 4 year old wears a 4T. They are extremely big on her. I feel like I could've got a 2T for her. They came down to her knees which I wasnt expecting to be that Ling either.

Bought for my 5 yr old daughter in size 4T (she is tall for her age but average weight) and these run pretty big. Would hardly stay on.
