Tengo cinco años con el y se desempeña de forma excelente, muy útil para hacer respaldos, clonar discos duros, etc. Lo volvería a comprar de ser necesario.

This is the best plug n play hdd box I’ve ever had, just pop the hard drive in like a game cartridge and push the power button, and you’re viewing files on your pc. Fast too

I've had this for about 2 years now and it has worked faultlessly. I have used it with numerous HDDs for regular backups, storage and cloning. I like that it has HDD eject buttons that others don't have as HDD can be swapped one handed. It definitely supports hot swappable HDDs unlike some reviews have stated. It does not have offline cloning but works fine with cloning software on computer. It is well made and has worked as advertised.

First and foremost this device ( Thermaltake BlacX HDD Docking Station ( ST0005U-D ) works just fine. Five stars. I had previously purchased a Thermaltake Docking Station ( ST0019U ) and that was already installed here and worked just fine on all drives, including 2.1TB+. There's a technical wrinkle here that I ran into. And it's not well defined on Amazon or the Thermaltake site. That is will the Docking Station work with an Drive that exceeds 2.1TB in size. My first purchase, the ST0019U, was just fine. I then followed that up with another purchase of a ST0019U from Amazon and it did not support a 2.1TB drive or larger. Amazon, free of charge, refunded my money on that one. I believe the ST0019U is now obsolete. I then purchased this Docking Station ( ST005U-D ) and waited, crossing fingers, that it would support 2.1TB+ drives. And it did. So make sure you purchase this device from Amazon only so that if the firmware in the device does not support the larger drives you'll be able to return and replace it. I suggest that all the ST0005U-D devices support 2.1TB+ drives. Note: I am using these devices on a Linux OS. And the drives being plugged into it use the EXT4 file system. And that works just fine.

This enclosure works fine and looks great. It provides the performance that I expect from the USB 3.0 interface. The enclosure is well made and the kit is complete.

This product is well made, and comes with needed cables. It works absolutely as advertised (which seems pretty rare THESE days).I'm using it with a late 2012 iMac as a data drive; it works flawlessly in both OS X Mountain Lion, and in Windows 7 (via Bootcamp). It also shows up and is usable in Parallels Desktop (drive Letter change around stupidly, but that's no fault of Thermaltake's enclosure).I installed a Seagate 2 TB HDD; partitioned in NTFS; on problems, no errors to-date.The drive sleeps as expected; powers on/off at system power up and shutdown. My on-line pre-purchase research (MacRumors forums, other Amazon purchasers) indicated this would be a good purchase, and it is.
