Great Hangers, I mounted mine to a 1x6 so I didn't use the track plates that come with it. I also mounted mine opposite of the pics in the description because my thinking was if the little welds broke, the bracket would still hold. Great product, saves space and seem sturdy enough.

I screwed these to 1x4 attached to the studs in my wall. I have two rows, one high and one low and hang everything from Basses, electrics, a couple of hollow bodies and acoustics. I even have a Banjo and a Mandolin up there. They might appear flimsy to some, but I haven't had any issues at all. Just attach them well and don't try to do pull-ups with them. They will serve you well.

I thought that the hangers would extend between lengths stated in description. It is only adjustable by turning the hook to the side. This was not conducive to my needs. I needed to hang 19 guitars along a 12’ wall. 1 out 1 in and so on down the line. I was able to do so by adding 3” blocks behind every other hanger. Which worked out perfectly. The hangers felt flimsy when I took them out of packaging. However once I secured them the mounting board they felt very solid. I had no concerns hanging heaviest on guitars on these hangers. I do recommend them! For the cost I feel they are unbeatable.

While I wouldn't classify these hangers as top notch, they do the job they're intended for, so for that and the price per hanger, I'm giving it 5 stars. I've made 2 wall racks with these so far, and I really like them. They swivel to hold different headstock shapes and also lock into a few positions to hold the guitars at different angles. For my own rack, I used an 8-foot 1x6 cedar board with 12 guitar mounts spaced 8 inches apart on center. The 2nd rack, I made for my son for mostly acoustic guitars. I used 6 guitar mounts on a 60-inch 1x6 board, spaced 10 inches on center. I made jigs to align the mounts for each rack. I'm really happy with how everything worked out. I plan on getting some more for another rack or two.
