Purchased this set to remove a brass fitting that sheered off. For the price, I expected this to be a single use tool. Fully expecting the extractor to not survive the project, and multiple attempts with "normal sized" ratchets, I ended up using a 36" breaker bar to finally convince the stuck fitting to move. I was honestly surprised the extractor not only survived, but barely looked used. Happy to say, it has earned a place in my tool chest collecting dust until the derdded day I need it again.

Los compre para cualquier problema que se presente al respecto, espero no me fallen y me sienta defraudado ya que en las fotos de las presentaciones, muestran los filos curvos de los extractores de mucho agarre, y viéndolos físicamente los mismos filos apenas se notan, espero no se barran al extraer algún tornillo.. Saludos

I was skeptical about these bolt extractors because the pictures show "dull" splines. I assumed it would not "bite" into the bolt. I was wrong! Its solid built set. These spline lines appear dull on the large size extractors, on smaller ones they are proportionally sharp. Any more sharper and you run the risk of stripping the spline lines. The second thing I liked was the 3/8" drive. It significantly makes the use of these extractors simple and with much smaller footprint. I was able to put it on my ratchet and get into small spaces. Having a Nut drive makes it dual use: 3/8" Drive and/or a socket adaptor. That is why I chose this set; it gives you more flexibility. Solid case and affordable price made the purchase decision easy. Lastly, I found there was no need to tap/hammer this into the bolt head. The splines were very quick to bite into the bolt head and dig in. I would recommend this set as I am pleased with the purchase and quality.

i really wanted to like these they look great but they broke on first use... I center punched and drill all the way though the hole the picked the appropriate extractor... It worked better than the cheap long ones ( I forget what they are called) but it just ended up breaking and made the problem much worse... As the extractor is a very tough metal and hard to drill though... It's not a huge thing because it's just a table leg I can drill a hole and install a nut and bolt... Though I did want to use it on my car engine head glad I didn't...I do like the design of these the 3/8 and nut design lets you use a good amount of force... sigh... in the future I guess I'll buy a wielder and try the nut welding method for my car or just take it to a shop... though as a DIY I'm kinda against it...
