Great but shrunk alot

For the past several years I’ve been searching Amazon for a pair of mostly cotton, economically priced cargo pants to wear while working in my garden. And after loosing quite a lot of weight, something that’s easily replaceable in the event I lost more weight. You may want to consider getting a few pairs of these cotton cargo pants.Despite having ordered a number of different pairs based largely upon the description, nothing I ordered came close to the original pair that Amazon offered. The new pants were always a mostly polyester blend that, unlike cotton, didn’t breathe and would easily become stained. The slacks I recently purchased however are cotton, comfortable, attractive, durable and very easy to keep clean. They are also made with a nice summer weight fabric that keeps me cool during the hot summer months. If you’re looking for something attractive and affordable to knock around in that won’t fall apart after a couple of washes and are extremely comfortable, these would be the perfect pants for you.

FIRST GLANCE 3/20/24Let me preface this review with some background on what i do for a living. I am a food service worker at a hospital. I put our truck order away and i stock our nourishment rooms on the units. That means i move boxes all day, stack pallets, walk constantly and spend most of my day squatting down to refil the bottom half of refrigerators. I was looking for new work pants becauze my curent ones are fleece lined and i tend to get quite sweaty after moving around for a while. I had a list of requirements however.1) cargo pockets2) durability3) style4) versatility5) breathableOn a whim i decided to purchase these pants with very limited reviews.I am 5'4" weighing 150lbs with an average pants size of 32/30 and got a medium. Upon arrival the pants were very long. Too in fact. I was a bit upset and felt I had wasted my money but I have anxiety so I wasn't going to return them. I decided to wash them on hot and dry on high heat in hopes they would shrink enough. They did just that. They are now the perfect size for me to wear comfortably while moving around so much at work. They meet all the requirements I had on my list. The durability one is still a bit in question just because I've only worn them a few times. I have worn them with my adidas athletic running shoes, nike hoops and vans and all styles look good with these pants.Another review stated they collect lint so I want to address that. The material is very similar to those of the Goodfellow dress pants you would find at Target or the George dress pants you would find at Walmart if that gives you any idea. The draw string is nice to have the ability to tighten them up throughout the day if need be. We all know pants loosen up the longer you wear them.The back pockets are very large. My wallet sits on my leg and not my bum so at work I toss it in my locker but casual wear i don't even seem to notice it's lower than usual.I dont think i would call them joggers because they arent tight on my ankles as you can see from the photos. They are more of a slim fit in the lower half. The upper half are more of a regular fit but it flows quite nicely and works better for those of us with tree trunk thighs and hips. For now I will give these a 10/10 but I do plan to come back and update after putting them through the wringer.UPDATE: 12/29/24Ive been ordering these pants in a medium for a while now with them fitting me perfectly. Recently I ordered 2 pair at the same time, washed and dried them and they were way too long and too baggy. I decided to order a small to see if they had just changed the way they make them and I can confirm that is exactly what has happened. I now own 12. Yes 12 pairs of these pants in all the different colors. I love them. I wear them to work, to skateboard, to hike, to just hang out. They are so comfortable and durable that it's just become what I wear now. Glad to see that the company has listened to the people saying they drink too much and adjusted the way they make them. All of the reviews dated before this update would have been from before they updated the sizing so check the review date if you're using other people's opinions and fit to choose what size to order.

These are not the softest material, but live the fit and that the kiddo can adjust the drawstring cuffs.
