Good for basic above ground camping. You can easily fit 2 people comfortably, with back packs inside. My truck bed is about 6.5 ft long, and this fit fine. All of the straps take a little practice figuring out where to place on the truck, but no problem once you get the first go around. I camp/scout in the mountains, where it can rain pretty heavily. I did add a tarp over my tent, to keep out the extra rain. It kept things pretty dry. Water did make it's way under the tent, in the bed of the truck, but that's to be expected. I use an inflatable mat, so I never got wet. The little poles to put the tent together are super flimsy, I did break one. Be careful with these. The straps holding the tent to the truck worked well. The wind picked up and my tent stayed put while I was out hiking. The other negative is the condensation that builds up in this. If you have a tarp, there's no lower windows or vent to allow for release. It has a little air chimney, but it sucks.

We practiced putting the tent up at home. It fit well and was pretty easy to put up and take down. We had some storms hit and inside of tent stayed dry.
