My infant likes looking at it, but it definitely does not fold like it shows in the picture. I thought this would be easy to fold and a bit soft/plush (my mistake, I suppose). It's stitched around a flat plastic sheet that stays flat. If I tie one set of red strings (which feel as if they're made out of raffia) to a crib slat, the other red strings are positioned so that I cannot tie them to any slats. Plus, the strings are not long enough to get a good knot going. Wouldn't recommend until they improve the product.

This came up when I searched for "crib bumpers". This is not a crib bumper. It is a toy.As a toy, I'd give it 3 stars. The images are nice. The quality of the fabric is awful - it's a soft book that isn't soft! Maybe it would get better with washing, but I didn't try, we returned it because what we actually needed was a crib bumper.

I got this because my 5 month old likes to handle board books and mail. He was very interested in it from the get-go. One side has black, white, and red graphics, and the other side has a multicolor jungle design with crinkly bits sewn on. The crinkly bits and the red ties you see in the picture seem sewn on very securely, which is good. It is fairly rigid, and would be difficult for a baby to fold up. Also, it is not accordian-folded as in the picture, but rather shaped like the profile of a hat, or a cis-shaped molecule, if you get my drift. This makes it freestanding on the floor. A very interactive toy for a grabby baby.

This is an adorable book but probably not worth the money. I like the look of it but my baby has yet to be mesmerized by either side of if (had from 3-5months of age). It's also very bulky and difficult to fold up or to bend into the accordion shape you want (unlike a board book version). I would suggest Tana Hoben's Black & White accordion book for kids under 6months - this has been a much bigger hit for us and folds up compactly and can be set up fairly straight out or bent into different shapes depending on the space you have.
