Worked . I thought it was going to trash my luggage because of the wheels. They fit great

I have a Delsey carry-on that's about 11 years old. I'm fond of it and so wanted to keep it rolling. These wheels fit almost exactly, but the curved lip was about 3/16th of an inch short. Because of that, the wheel did not fit flush on the bottom of the carry-on. I took the wheels to the local hardware store, and the owner sliced the lips off both wheels with a sharp knife. (You can easily do it yourself if you are handy with a sharp blade or box cutter.) Then, using the original Delsey inside piece, I was able to screw in the new wheel. It's very solid and working fine. I'm happy I was able to salvage this piece of luggage, and I saved the other wheel for future use.

This is the closest replacement I could find after combing the internet for Swiss Gear suitcase wheels. The screws lined up and the measurements matched, but the edge of the wheel apparatus was too small to capture the edge and prevented the wheel from mounting to the interior plate. Another reviewer mentioned this and the issue was solved by having someone with a powerful saw remove the edging, which then allowed him to replace the wheels. Having neither a saw nor a friend with one, I held the wheels over my gas burner in the kitchen in the hopes of softening the plastic and bending it flat with some pliers. And it worked. Was it a perfect solution? No. Did it save me some money and keep a suitcase out of a landfill? You betcha. I have attached some photos of how the old one fit and how the new one fist so you can see what I am taking about. Who knows, maybe yours will fit perfectly and you won’t need to MacGuyver the wheels. But I offer this as a solution for those who may be in a similar solution. 18.99 for two wheels beats 129.99 for a new suitcase every time.

My old TravelPro suitcase was on its last legs. Instead of buying a new suitcase, I figured I'd purchase a new set of legs. These appear to be the exact same wheels as the original wheels! You can see the new wheel on the left with the old on the right in the photo.Easy install and my suitcase is as good as new!
