This is a fun summer activity for kiddos. Really easy to use, even with ice from a fridge ice maker. I recommend buying some special snowcone cups and syrup along with this. My six year old can crank the handle no problem. Slightly better than the classic Snoopy version.

Fun but tough. It does a pretty good job of shaving ice, but the quality of the shave sort of depends on your ice. It's more like crushed ice on the side of shaved. A fun kit for a good price, but not "perfect"

The short blunt plastic studs are not able to grip the ice block securely, and thus unable to shave the ice block.
