This lid is not as well made as our original lid. Installation instructions a bit confusing. Soft close does work well.

I bought this seat to replace the seat that originally came with my Toto toilet. Due to the poor design of the original seat, the hinge has a lot of free play which allows the seat to slide around on the bowl. Note that this is not an issue of loose mounting bolts but a problem of slop in the hinge itself. I read of review of the original seat on the Big Orange Store website and Toto recommended this newer seat as a solution to the problem. Toto said they updated the design based on customer feedback. The design may be different but the results are the same. The seat still slides around on the bowl.I continued to search for a suitable replacement and found the Hibbent Premium One Click Elongated Toilet Seat here on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DMYBWRG/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_jg-xFb5VDSPTP). The bone color was a close but not perfect match for the bone color of my Toto toilet. What the Hibbent seat lacks in color match it more than makes up for in rigidity. It remains firm and doesn't move around on the toilet rim. It is a superior seat in my opinion.
