Lo instale en una migración de redes Megabit a Gigabit y lo que mas me gusto es su función de herramientas, que te permite detectar cables dañados y a que distancia esta el daño, asi como diagnosticar cables y enumerar el hilo que no esta correcto o cual es el problema.Estoy muy complacido con lo sencillo que fue instalarlo.

This is not for a novice or someone unfamiliar with networking. You can learn how to use it but be warned, there is very little documentation on this product and the manual is not that helpful.Past that, this thing is awesome! Tons of features has multicast if you need it. Price is steep but the product is good. Bought a basic switch from Trendnet a while back and never had issues. This is no Unifi managed switch but I feel it’s just as good. The GUI could definitely be better, but once you get use to it it’s okay. Remember to save your changes or you will loose them on power failure. Update firmware and definitely install utility software will help the process. Read and understand the directions for the upgrade so you get it right and not brick the switch!I run multiple Vlans without issue!Enjoy!!!

It has many features higher end switches offer, and was perfect for a small office I needed to install for a client to get rid of several small non-managed switches that were cluttering up and confusing things. My only irritation is when you make a VLAN change, for instance, you have to remember to Save the config, which depending on your screen and browser, may not be seen readily as you work on it. But I'd recommend this.

Me gustó mucho el producto, tiene muy buena calidad. Cuenta con 48 puertos gbe + 4 SPF. No se calienta mucho y no escucho algún ruido. Aunque es un smart switch, mi uso es doméstico y simplemente funciona sacandolo de la caja. No necesita configuración adicional aunqué tiene las opciones de hacer cosas más complicadas.

I want to start off with the caveat of my review is that the faults I found with it are mostly due to the fact that I didn't do enough research. I really liked this unit, but it just wasn't what I needed.I opened this up, hooked it to my laptop and logged in. I configured the switch through the web interface, which was tolerable, but not super). The first thing I really noticed was that it was quiet (no fan), and heavy. I like products that have some good weight to them. It was easy to configure a gave me the throughput I was looking for. Gigabit on every port for this price is almost unheard of.With everything I like about it, there was one thing that I couldn't fix. This switch supports Link Aggregation, which is one of the reasons I bought it. It however, only supports static link aggregation and not LACP (dynamic link aggregation). I bought this switch primarily to use with a Synology DiskStation 1511+, which supports Link Aggregation, but it turns out it only does LACP. We therefore ran into a conflict with the link aggregation. It was cheaper to replace this than the NAS, so I went with a different model. It's unfortunate, since it seems this could be done with a software update.All this being said, if you are looking for a 16-port managed switch, that can do VLANs, is easy to setup, and looks pretty sitting on your shelf, this is definitely a wonderful choice. If you need something that supports LACP, you'll need to look elsewhere.

Works like a charm, and with the added basic layer 2 management, it's a great deal for the price. My only comment would be regarding the fan noise, as it is relatively loud. I have it in a small cabinet, in a closet, and it can still be heard over the sound of the two cabinet fans, so it's definitely not for placement in an open office space. Nevertheless, still a great deal for the specs. Let's see how it fairs in the long haul.Update December 2012:3 years later and it still works like a charm without a single hitch. I can't even remember the last time I had to restart it for any specific reason!Update May 2016:4 more years of perfect service; I think I had to restart it once.
