In 47 years, I have never been able to find a hat, or helmet, or hard hat that fits my big 8 1/4 head. Not only does this one fit, there’s a bit of room to spare.

I cosplay and wear wigs often, and for my most recent cosplay I needed a hat to wear over my wig. My head measures between 23.5 and 24 inches around without a wig, so with the rather heavy and thick one I was wearing my head measured exactly 25 inches around. This hat in size 3XL was a perfect fit. It had some room so I could move it around if it shifted to the left or right, but it was snug enough that I wasn't too worried about it falling off. I did cut a hole in the back for the ponytail of my wig to fit through, so that did help it stay on my head - and the threads didn't start to unravel at all which I think is a sign of sturdy and quality construction. I think if I didn't have the ponytail it may have shifted more, but I don't think it would have fallen off. If your head measures more than 25 inches around then I imagine it would fit more snug, but I felt that it was comfortable without being too tight.Overall I felt it was a comfortable fit and the quality of the hat was great.
