I use this thing like everyday! I was having anemic symptoms (low iron) and craving ice, this helped my cravings by providing soft, snow like ice easy to consume without chewing and damaging my teeth. I love it!

This is easy to use and much more economical than buying crushed ice. It takes almost no arm strength and makes the kind of ice that I like to chew on.

Es muy lento y raspa muy poco hielo, el resorte de la manibela no tiene fuerza, totalmente inútil. No vale la pena por el costo.

No do not buy this I was using it and I was cranking it for like five minutes and only got half way on the ice cube and I only had a little bit of ice .

I defrosted a small frozen Italian Ice container and poured the contents into the small container that came with the unit. I had to place the even bottom of the ice plug on the top, so the metal spikes could grab the ice and turn it. The plug was shaved down and fell into the plastic container below the shaving blade. My husband has Dysphagia and could eat the shaved ice. He liked it better than out of the store cup that the ice came in. It was easy to turn the handle to create the shaved ice. The spring did make some squeaky noise when turned. We’ve been using it for about 3 weeks. I used to rinse everything off in cleanup. However, we got a case of fruit flies that were attracted to the unit. Now I was in soap and water, and place the unit in the refrigerator between uses.
