I disliked that I had to get my round diamond file that I use to smooth small glassware chips and buff over all the not-really-finished SHARP edges. But once I had removed all the carelessly unfinished edges, the thing worked a treat. (This item's metal is not as sound as any churchkey-style beer opener from the old days, so get one from the Goodwill or whichever thrift shop is in your area, if you are lucky enough to find one with a bin of olde kitchen utensils.)

Won’t grab onto a can to open. It’s a joke!

Terrible geometry. The angle of the punch is all wrong. The length of the triangular tip is all wrong. The hook that hooks to the edge of the can is so badly designed, it's damn near impossible to latch onto the side of a can to get any leverage. It's cheap, but that's what makes it more annoying. They know you won't bother returning it, which is why they are still here pushing this piece of garbage, and just reaching into people's pockets for spare change.

Here is your basic church key with wood cladding. Its a sturdy, basic church key that will easily open those cans or bottles. You can't go wrong with this one.
