Tulip awls are more expensive than some awls, but the QUALITY is what you are paying for. I bought 2 as I usually have several boards going and wanted to have this awl on different boards. It’s a WONDERFUL tool and recommended by National Desginers that do beadwork. Now that I have had the opportunity of using it, I could not be without it

I used this awl in a class I took and it's amazing so I had to buy my own. I weave with wire and sometimes need to get into very tight spaces. This awl is incredible! I won't ever buy another craft store awl. Be careful tho, it's sharp! Also, I have dropped it a couple times and the tip is still nice and sharp. I will continue to use this awl for creating and teaching.

As a kumihimo braider I use the awl for everything! It is great when I need to break a glass seed bead that is out of place, use it to guide beads off my Marudai braiding stand, undo knots, etc. One thing I have learned since this is my second one is that they do wear out . My first one is still being used but is dull with 1” less from wear and tear. So I bought 2 this time.
