I was so worried due to all the negative reviews (the ones with pictures at least) and was highly in doubt of purchasing one of these. So I bought one and can happily say that Tusita listened to all of the negative reviews and changed their design.Especially, i wasn't aware that all the ones with pictures were "old" ones without the lock screw making me realize that this was a different design. In the one I received there's a lock screw and hex key included to (permanently) mount this on your bag without the risk of losing it.I can't say how it will work on a Topeak Wedge (common type in the reviews), since I'm using it on a trunkbag. But I can say that it stays in place.Despite all the negative reviews, I also ordered an anti-lost silicone case from Tusita so I could still loop this around my bag just in case something would jiggle or break. But honestly by the looks and feel of it, and in combination with the lock screw in place, I don't think this will go anywhere even without the protective case.If anyone buys this updated model and they're losing this clip, then something might be wrong at your end. Because this one went on the trails with me already without falling off.(Short side note: I also wanted to buy the model with wide mount but on the pictures it's still without the loop hole or lock screw. In the mounting manual of this one they showed the wide mount as well with a loop hole and lock screw so it's a matter of time that they will sell those ones I guess.)

This clip seems strong. It grips my RTL515 well, and it clamps on very tightly to the attachment strap on my large rear seatbag. On my bicycle, the best orientation for my RTL515 is horizontal. The Tusita mount as delivered is configured for vertical mount. I was pleased to find that it can be reconfigured for horizontal mount by undoing and redoing some bolts, as follows. Step 1 is to separate the two rectangular plastic components by removing two hex bolts on the back using a 2mm hex key. That step exposes the heads of the hex head bolts that attach the circular component, as seen in first photo. (Photo also shows two unused holes in vertical orientation between the two bolt heads on the left component). Step 2 is to remove those newly exposed hex bolts. Step 3 is to rotate the circular component by 90 degrees and replace the most recently removed bolts in the previously unused, vertically aligned, pair of holes. Step 3 is to reassemble the two rectangular pieces by reinstalling the first pair of bolts. These bolts are all previously treated with blue threadlocker and are pretty tight; I was glad to have a 2mm hex with a stout handle on it. I have made separate modifications to get the mount propped against my bag so that the light and radar are pointing directly back, but I can report that the radar functions well even when the angle is drooping down a bit so these separate modifications may not have been necessary.
