I am an avid kayaker and love to be out in the sun on hot summer days. I ordered this shirt to help block the harmful sun rays while out on the water. I have yet to try it on the water since its winter here now. The fit of this shirts is perfect (true to size). It's so lightweight and soft to the skin. It's made of a stretchable/breathable material and has reinforced breathable side panels to allow full range of movements while wearing it.Because these are made of a quick drying SPF material, this shirt will be great to wear to jump in the water when you work up a sweat, and when you get back out it will cool off your skin, yet drying quickly.I have similar shirts like these for kayaking, but this is the first one I've had with the attached hood. The hood will be awesome to use when the sun is baking on your head/neck area. The hood is made of the same lightweight breathable material. This being an all white shirt will definitely help reflect the suns rays/heat as well.Can't wait to get on the water with this.

I am a fan off hoodies and sometimes, I wear shirts that I don't want to bury beneath a hoodie. Sometimes, I wear my warming non-hooded sweater, and lament that I don't have a hood. Then, along comes this baby.Sure, it's a lightweight hood, but it's still holding in heat and keeping my head warmer. I wouldn't recommend it in cooler weather as your only means to protect your head, but for general use it's fabulous!I'm going to buy a smaller size to see how that works for an under-shirt, but this large version fits well. Just considering a tighter version for any shirts that fit a little more snug in my current 'situation' (5'7" 200lbs)I can't really speak on the thumb holes, as I tend to not use them (so far). But they're not bad to have, either, as it doesn't take away from the look/fit.

... shirt that offers a good deal of shirt for the money. Less dollars than many other shirts that I have acquired, sometimes less than half those dollars, in fact. But, just because the price is cheap doesn't mean the shirt is low quality. Quite the contrary, this is a shirt that compares very favorably to the "name" brands at a fraction of the cost. This hoodie is great. The fabric is light and cool to touch, which makes it great for sun protection. Also with the fabric, it’s great for active wear.

Soft, light weight, all around comfortable. I love that it's cool to the touch. Hopefully it maintains that feature in the hot summer sun.I like the color but the light blue is much lighter in person. It's like a misty blue. Good for staying cooler, but not exactly like the photo .
