this filter cap seals the deal! it has good looks and upgraded functionality as well as being much more durable being aluminum instead of plastic.

FINALLY a cap that doesn't leak. I've used 2x aftermarket billet aluminum and 1 factory plastic cap and they all leaked. It's as if the groove for the ring wasn't cut right. Bought this one last week and 3 days after install and not a drop. I wasn't expecting much based on price but this is 100% what I need. For reference I have the N20 in a 2015 X3.

My 2011 BMW Z4 SDrive 35i (N54) is kept pretty clean and I already have a billet Mosselman oil therm/cooler that's shiny. This compliments it very well (as seen in the pictures). If you have a BMW that's getting up in miles or years like mine, you should replace the plastics iteratively -- they degrade and will eventually fail. This aluminium cap is a snug fit without any binding on the threads and is an easy upgrade/maintenance of the older car.As already mentioned, be careful not to scratch the pretty thing on installation by using a proper cap socket and the best situation is to replace it during an oil change in while you'll have a new filter and oil.
