Very poor retention on clasp. Comes off just from being flipped upside down. This is the second uag item I've purchased which was of poor quality. Mind you the other was not from this seller.

+ made from high quality materials+ available in 2 colors+ easy to use+ easy installation+ helps with taking photos with one hand+ nice, bright color+ works with every case, you do not need UAG one to use it- too long (for me)- changing length might be difficult at first

This thing sounded like a good idea on paper, and it functions fine, I just really dislike it. I initially thought I’d be able to use the cord - which is stupidly thick - to hang my phone off a pack or loop the cord through something, but it’s a closed system and because the cord is so thick it doesn’t like to bend, so looping the phone back through itself doesn’t work well and again, why are we using mountain climbing rope here? The whole package is comically oversized, except the ‘quick-release’ carabiner which is not a quick release because it’s difficult to manipulate to unhook your phone from this boat anchor of a tether. It’s oversized to the point you could fit 3 arms through it, so there’s a lot of slack to take up; it doesn’t hang neatly around your wrist, you’re clutching a fistful of rock climbing rope you’ve awkwardly tangled your hand up in. Where does all this rope go when it’s in my pocket? Who thought this was a good idea?UAG products aren’t cheap to begin with, I’ve been using them for many years, this is just not a good phone tether. I’m not sure anyone tried using this before they released it: it’s bulky, awkward, the rope is 5x thicker than it needs to be, the carabiner is too small, it doesn’t work well for attaching your phone to anything and it’s not particularly well suited at keeping your phone on your wrist. Pretty much a fail in every aspect, although I did get suckered in by the nice looking orange and black rope, which is the only thing I like about this albatross of a lanyard.

As someone who really enjoys photography and hiking, I absolutely love this phone wrist strap. It did take some getting used to since I had only used thinner straps; but once you start appreciating/using the adjustment options on this strap, the two clasps, and how easily it can be moved to various cases; it's actually pretty awesome. Since it's pretty thick there's no having to worry about the strap possibly breaking, and it's lighter than it looks and comfortable on the wrist. I've used it on a few walking trips; but am really looking forward to take it on hiking trips where I'm most likely to drop my phone and it's been awesome at busy events like football games. I've dropped my new iPhone 15 Pro Max a few times, my heart beats for a second or two, and then it's a nice feeling when I realize the strap was on the phone and it's still attached to me :-)I usually never pocket my phone, and will usually walk around with the phone in my hand. Nowadays, it's a dangerous thing to do considering the number of people that are out there that love to borrow what doesn't belong to them - with this strap I'm pretty confident the phone won't be easily snatched. ...I suppose there's some danger in that since they'll take me with the phone.You do need a case that's closed on the bottom to use this, it won't work with cases where the whole bottom is open; unfortunately that means most designer/genuine leather cases - those cases are usually wide open on the bottom so there is no way of placing the lanyard connector in the case (I suppose glue to tape might work; but probably not ideal).
