Why pay OEM prices when you can use this. Exact fit and worked instantly. Easy install and saved $20.

Fits and works in my 06 mk5 Jetta without any issues. Does not come with a grommet. So, you will have to re use or buy one separate.

Once I took the old one out, it became clear that the sensor dipoles were coated with the rain-x from the windshield wiper fluid, which caused it to fail. I cleaned off the dipoles with an alcohol pad, and the sensor worked just fine again. I installed the new one anyway, and tucked the old one into my tool box in case it fails again and I don't have any alcohol wipes handy to clean it off.TIP: Do not take the whole car apart to get the tank out! Simply pull off the fog light cover, and boom, sensor is right there barking at you! Pull out the old one, twist in the new one. Five minutes max!

Despite the combatibility check, this was the right part for my 08 Audi A4. It's a bear to install on the back of the washer fluid resivoir, but it cleared the erupting volcano on my dashboard. Not sure if these have the same problem with Rain-x fluid like the OEM sensor (hence why I needed to replace the original sensor), but I've switched back to the plain blue fluid and haven't had any issues yet.
