I got the locking version with three ports in the rear. This lets me have the "normally open" port go to a short hose with an air sprayer on it since that has a trigger, and the "normally closed" port goes to my rotary tool. So when I'm done grinding, I lift my foot off, and I can spray away dust and chips. I used known good fittings with 3 turns of teflon tape and moderate tightness. There was zero leaks I could detect! It's pretty easy to know when I'm pressing it hard enough to engage the lock, but to be honest I don't really use the locking feature much. I can see how some people might need that functionality of being a purely on off binary switch, but that's not the way I use it. It was very easy to set up. I did not have any issue fitting all my usual connectors onto it. I think since it is made out of metal, there's some pretty good value here. It feels like it is going to hold up and be functional years from now.

The petal itself is pretty great, but if you're a guy like me who always reads instructions, you're in for bad news because it doesn't come with any. You'll have to figure it out on your own (or check the bottom of this rating). That said I was able to figure it out and it works great with my media blasting cabinet. The fact that it's a two position pedal is amazing because I don't have to hold the pedal down the whole time i'm blasting. One push to click it into the down position to direct air to outlet A, and it just lets the air flow. Click it again and it switches to outlet B. Great value for the dollar, my only complaint is having to figure it out on my own because it does not come with any instructions whatsoever.Instructions for plumbing your foot pedal:There are 3 ports on the back of the switch. A, B, and P. P is the pressure inlet so basically you want to connect this to your compressor. A and B are both outlets. With the pedal in the down position air is directed to Outlet A. With the pedal in the up position air is directed to Outlet B. In my case I wanted an on/off value for my foot while my hands are in the blasting cabinet, so I simply put a plug in outlet B, and connected the blasting gun to Outlet A. All I do is step on the pedal and away we go! When I'm done I step on the pedal one more time and the air stops. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

This pedal has just simplified my set up in the shop. It came packaged well and is really sturdy. Getting it connected to my machine was also a breeze. Such a great value!
