This appears to be an exceptionally well-made torque wrench. The locking mechanism engages and disengages easily, with a clear click, when it goes into place. The directional (CW/CCW) lever is smooth, with a slight click indicating when the direction has changed. While pulling down the locking ring, the head rotates easily to change the ft-lbs, with a clear notch/click as the strength is changed by each 1.0 ft-lb. The socket release button works well, releasing and gripping the socket well. The wrench comes with a calibration certificate. However, it is not a traceable certificate to an accredited agency (NIST, BIPM, EURAMET, APMP, SIM, etc.), as far as I can tell. It does indicate that an PinBao PB-6036 Torque Tester was used to calibrate the device and that the measurement meets ISO6789, GB/T15729, and ASME standards. However, this does not mean that the instrument is within calibration. I cannot independently verify the toque. The toque wrench comes with an extender and a reducer. Both are well made. Both are stamped with Chrome Vanadium. Both have a ball-based locking mechanism for holding the sockets in place that grips and releases well. The knurling on the extender is very well done. The coating on the wrench and its two attachments are well applied. All of the machining is very well done. The case is very sturdy and holds the wrench, extender and reducer very well. The case’s locking handles are strong and operate by rotating around a shaft, rather than the cheaper mechanisms that just bend the plastic, a higher quality locking mechanism that should last longer. The wrench comes with a 2-year warranty.Overall, this wrench is very well made. I have owned two other torque wrenches over the years, and this seems of higher quality than either of the other ones.

This 3-piece torque wrench set is solidly built and should cover most basic car/truck needs.WHAT YOU GETThe kit includes a 1/2" ergonomic wrench (16" long), a 3/8 adaptor, and a 5" long 1/2" extension. All three pieces are housed in a heavy duty plastic case (17 1/4" x 5" x 1 1/4") with 2 plastic snap locks and an integrated handle that enhances the case's overall low profile. The case interior includes individual slots that allows them to snap snuggly and securely into place. Also included is an instruction manual (with very small print).COMFORT/PERFORMANCEWhat I like most about this wrench is the overall design and feel of it. Weighing at approx. 4 lbs. with a 16" length, the wrench as some other features in its design that make it comfortable to hold and operate. Most notably, the approx. 6" grip is thick and flared at the top and bottom to an approximate diameter of 1 1/2". The thickness of the grip end and the two ribbed rubber inserts makes gripping this wrench easy, comfortable, and assured. The ratchet end of the wrench is also feels strong and well-designed. The ratchet clicks are tight and satisfyingly audible. The release button is large and easy to push; the directional switch arm glides from side to side with ease. This wrench is designed to cover torque ranges from 10-170 foot lbs. (13.55-230.48 newton-meters). The handle incorporates an automatic lock and requires a pull down and twist mechanic to unlock and adjust to the desired torque. I found this unlock and adjust mechanism being well-designed and easy to operate. Both the metric and standard torque settings are etched into the black wrench shaft with gold colored print. The twist adjustment is easy and the settings audibly click.I found this to be a solid torque wrench that is comfortable to handle with a solid ratcheting mechanism. The extension and 3/8 adaptor add to the overall functionality of this wrench. I have a more expensive wrench with comparable torque stats and this is much easier to use. Overall, a nicely priced 3-piece torque wrench in a solid case.

There's really nothing not to like about this torque wrench. It's just a beautiful tool that you'll be proud to have in your toolbox. Starting with the fitted case. Everything fits well, and the snap closures do the job. The wrench itself is finished in a beautiful black and red anodized finish. The markings are gold. The red silicone O-ring seals the joint between the head and the handle. You can see all this in the listing, but you have to feel the finish to really appreciate it. Unlike other torque wrenches I've used, the markings on this one line up perfectly. When the scale is set to "zero", the 10's increment is perfectly aligned, leaving no doubt you're set correctly. Also unlike my other torque wrenches, this one has a handy release button to eject the socket. You'd think all torque wrenches would have that feature, but they don't. I really like that there is an included extension and 3/8" adapter. No need for two wrenches when this one will handle everything from 10 to 170 foot lbs. using either your 1/2", or 3/8" sockets.

Not too much to review. This torque wrench is what I imagined it would be. It came delivered quickly, the case it comes with is sturdy and closes nicely. The quality of this wrench is nice. I would recommend it. I personally got it to add to my set of tools I will need post divorce. Quite frankly I think this would make a nice gift for anyone building up their tool set.
