Hands down one of the coolest things I've purchased on Amazon in my life. This thing can turn water into steam very quickly, its kinda mind bending to watch. Takes water boil time for 1 cup down to under a minute from 3m for my 1.8kw induction stove. Its honestly a little bit too much power though. I never find myself waiting for things but I find stuff burns before the insides can cook. After water heats to 212F, additional heat does nothing so things still take time to cook. 2kw pulses are not very good for holding temperature. Its probably great for deep frying, big pots of stockThe form factor is not optimized (lots of empty space on the inside) and it takes up a lot of counter space. I'll be reverse engineering this thing and trying to replicate the power electronics but at 10kw instead. I think I could probably build something with a better power range, in a smaller package which gets food cooked faster (without burning). Need to experiment with this thing more, its quite the curiosity.

This stovetop works very well for us, it heats up very quickly, just make sure if you are purchasing, that you know it only works for magnetic cookware

So far, so good. I use this to brew 5 gallon batches of beer and have about 4 done now.

The 5000 watt single burner induction cooktop is awesome! 5kw is some serious power!!The actual diameter of the induction coil is about 8.5 inches, that's still quite large in comparison to my 36" countertop's largest burner. The boil ring in a 10" pan is almost the whole pan, it's much larger than my other induction burners. This unit has 2 types of power modes, pulse and constant on. Less than 2000 watts (200 ~ 1800), it will PULSE 2kw! 2kw and above, it will "constant on" the power at whatever watts are selected. It works wonderful for HOT dishes, but it won't simmer well. A "constant on" at whatever watts is selected would have been awesome for this unit, but I don't think we'll ever see that at this price point. On a 10" sauté pan, it's soooo easy to blast it with full power and almost instantly get that fond in the pan, the reaction time and power are awesome! It draws about 21 amps at full power, right at 5kw.Gotta watch out for the over-temp sensor, it's a bit slow. It's easy to nuke a cast iron pan, it'll burn the seasoning right off and get to 800+ before the over-temp kicks in.Recommended for high power needs!2025, March, Update a year later. It's still working great! The HIGH power of this induction cooktop is so nice to have, it heats crazy fast! The under 2000 watts pulse is still annoying (ie, eggs in a light pan, works much better with a heavy cast iron pan), but this REALLY shines above the 2000 watt mark. 100% perfect for a big stock pot, sauces, stews, chili, noodles, etc. If you've got a big pot of something, it DOES simmer very very well. It seems the 2000 watt pulse works great when there's a big pot of something vs. something that's light. I just made a huge pot of chili and this induction burner worked amazing!

So, I have used this only a few times. But less than a year in and I'm getting an E3 error. The stove runs for less ten minutes and vault out. No answers from the seller. Do not buy.
