Navajas Suizas Victorinox

La compañía Victorinox
En 1884, Karl Elsener abrió un taller de cuchillos en Ibach-Schwyz. En esa época Suiza todavía era uno de los países más pobres de Europa. En los primeros años, Karl Elsener luchó para combatir la pobreza y el desempleo en la cuenca de Schwyz, creando puestos de trabajo y ayudando a frenar la corriente emigratoria.
En 1891, abasteció por primera vez al Ejército suizo con navajas militares. En 1897, desarrolló la navaja suiza para oficiales y deportes, que ahora es la icónica Navaja Suiza, con lo que sentó las bases para una empresa floreciente que sería capaz de sostener su posición en el escenario mundial.
A partir de entonces, su espíritu de solidaridad, su profundo arraigo en la región y su fuerte compromiso con los valores sólidos dieron forma a la filosofía de la empresa Victorinox.
En la actualidad, Victorinox es una empresa mundial con cinco categorías de productos: Navajas Suizas, Cuchillos domésticos y profesionales, relojes, equipo de viaje y fragancias. La navaja suiza es el producto principal y sirvió de pionera en el desarrollo de todas las categorías de productos.

Although this guard is probably 3 times thicker than most blade guards, it really does a ton to protect your blades. It wont fall off like some blade guards, even if you drop it. The only real downsides are it's a bit bulky, but that's a trade off for awesome protection. The only other downside is that the rubber holds inside of the guard WILL mark your knives up initially. Nothing that can't be scrubbed off, and it goes away over a few weeks. Outside of that great product.

Very happy with this bladesafe! Sturdy, easy to open, and a nice alternative if you don't like the more flimsy vinyl 'sheath' knife covers. Fits my Victorinox chef knife and other brand chef knife wonderfully. Small rubber grips hold the knife in place so it is secure. Easy to open, transports your chef knives safely and securely.

Lo recomiendo mucho, excelente material, no queda flojo o bailando el cuchillo por dentro, lo que si, si tienes un estuche de cuchillos Victorinox, no entrará, si es algo ancho este protector, no ayudan mucho las bisagras ni los seguros que tiene. Fuera de eso esta excelente

mi cuchillo es delgado y se mueve no lo detiene bien el hule pero con cuchillos mas gruesos funcionara perfecto, el sistema de cierre es poco complicado de abrir

I really like the BladeSafe and I think it is one of the best products made.My main kitchen knives are a paring knife and a 240mm gyuto. I own multiple of each. Cutting blocks really are not practical, wooden sayas are expensive and are not very practical, knife wraps take up a lot of space and take a while to use, and generic cardboard protectors just don't cut it. Some of my more expensive gyutos are over $500, so it is very important to me that they not bang up against other blades given the damage that can occur.So enter the BladeSafe (which is branded under a few different names, including Victorinox like the product here). It literally locks on to the blade, contains material that pads the blade and stops it from moving around inside the case, and then the knife and the BladeSafe become one until you remove it.Putting the knife in, locking the BladeSafe, and unlocking it are all easy tasks. The hardware is strong: it is made to last years. It's also capable of different cleaning methods as it holds up to most anything. These BladeSafes do NOT come undone on themselves, slip a little, or fail to protect the knife in certain circumstances. More or less, you install this right and your knife is protected. At the same time, you don't have to worry about this damaging the finish on your knife as the design is well-made to ensure it does not harm the cosmetic finish of the blade.For traveling, these things are also great. Built to withstand usage, cleaning, shock, etc., these are built to hold up to the sometimes continuous beating that life can dish out.I have dropped a knife with one of these on and, thanks to the BladeSafe, no damage happened. If it was the knife only, one of two things would have occurred: the tip breaks or I get a free piercing through my foot. Disaster averted for 7 bucks. That's quite a bargain if you ask me!
