I spent a long time looking at reviews and narrowing down choices as I'm purchasing for a business and it needed to have birth the right look and an easy functionally (e.g. built-in strainer so we didn't have to purchase separate tools or teach anyone the extra step on using that, since it's for simple mocktail drinks). I narrowed it down between this one and one from Barfly (I believe that's the name) and ended up going with this one because I loved the cleaner shape of this one and the price was better. It arrived just as beautiful as in the photo, but with absolutely just as clear that there was no way it ever was designed to have a built-in strainer (usually located under a removable top cap in items that have that feature). This one is two pieces total - the top and bottom of the shaker with no removable cap where a strainer might have been. It clearly was not designed for one. I talked with the company as I hoped they could just send me the correct lid since I like the shape so much, but they told me they had no say over what Amazon sells in the listing (?). And when I told them about it not being listed correctly and that it advertised a built-in strainer, they once again told me they couldn't do anything about it. Huh.While I like this shaker for what it is, it's not what's advertised, so I'm marking a star down for that and even less impressed with the lack of caring that the Viski company showed when I contacted them, so another star down for that. I didn't want to return, but I'd rather support a different company at this point.

Super geeignet für große Mengen.Mit etwas Übung und einem geeigneten Barsieb gut zu verwenden.Beide Teile passen gut und sind dicht.Edel sieht der Goldene auch aus.Great for large quantities. Use well with a little practice and a suitable strainer.Both parts fit well and are tight.Noble looks the golden too.

I bought this cocktail shaker as a gift for my brother-in-law, who has three loves in life: my sister, liquor, and antiques. In addition to its solid, high quality construction, this shaker has a retro look that went perfectly with my BIL's "1950s lush" persona and bar set-up. Because I always second-guess my best decisions, I worried that he might not like it because it bears a remarkable resemblance to an urn or a sarcophagus, which, once you notice it, you can't unsee. But then I figured, hey, if he hates it because of that, my sister is morbid enough to love it for the same reason. Anyway, they both loved it, and the drinks they made with it made both my purchase and my visit worthwhile. Highly recommended.

Have to admit, my husband and I do not drink martini's ! However, we have redone our house in an art deco style and got 2 fake martini's, put them on a art deco tray and this shaker in the middle. Looks gorgeous !! Very pleased. I am guessing someone else could tell you about how well you can or can't fix drinks in it. But, I can tell you how wonderful it looks.
